Protocol Converter

A Protocol Converter allows real-time translation of communication interfaces.

A Protocol Converter is a bit like a language translation device for machine language. A common problem across mining and industrial equipment is that proprietary interfaces may not be compatible with reporting and monitoring solutions that are also implemented on the same site, or in the same plant.  

Proprietary equipment (like diesel generators or mining equipment) may have the desired functionality, but do not have a compatible communications interface for external systems.
